January was a month that was a little crazy for me as I moved schools and the weather was uncooperative to say the least. In my transition, I was sure to monitor parent contacts in my new school. This log shows how often I made parent and community contacts and the reasons behind the contact. This helped me to keep track of when a follow up is necessary due to the need for more information or not reaching someone the first time. This log allowed me to be a more effective communicator and be responsive to community stakeholders.

In our bus coordinator meeting prior to the beginning of the school year, we were tasked with creating a log for activity buses where sports could fill out a document each time that the bus was used. I got back to school and created this document for our teams to fill out when the bus was used. This was much more streamlined than the previous procedure and coaches mentioned to me how much more they enjoyed this document and how much time it saved them when they left and returned from games.
In September, we had our state-mandated bus evacuation drill for all students in the school. With this training exercise, students had to be split into groups of three in order to facilitate the correct number of students on each bus and having the right number of drivers to run each bus as well. After consulting the rosters and numbers, I created this document and system for having students run through the drill. The drill went off smoothly and we were able to check off that we had completed this state mandate.
